PlayStation® Portable (PSP) – Review.

After PS2, Sony released a portable version of play station – PSP™ on December 12, 2004.
The launch was a success with over 200,000 units sold the first day.
Then-CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Ken Kutaragi called the device the “Walkman of the 21st Century” .
After many models, today we can get a PSP slim and lite, PSP 3000 priced at Rs 8990 in stores.
It is a great gadget which has all features needed on the go. It has a sleek finish and looks really cool.

With its big clear display, it gives you a great gaming experience. I am sure its one thing that any gamer would want to have.
It has a memory card duo slot where a card up to 8 GB can be used. I has a UMD™ slot.
Some of the key features of the gadget are
Music – It plays MP3s, WAVs, WMAs, ATRAC3+ and MP4s
Video – More than 460 feature films, TV programs and music videos available on UMD™ disc.
Pictures – View slide shows.
Wi-fi – Communicate with other PSP systems, play games online, browse the Web and more.
The battery backup is good with upto 4 hours(In the headphone mode).

The disadvantage that I probably think is that the audio quality is not great. A wide range of games are available ranging from Burnout to Need For Speed,
but most of which are expensive. The newer version of PSP cannot run pirated games, and one has to get it hacked if he wanted to do so.
All in all, The Sony PSP is a great gadget which is very much worth a buy, And I really liked it.

Rating –
****

Key-
* – Waste of money.
** – Not a great thing, buy only if u have excess money.
*** – Good.
**** – Really good. You will surely like it.
***** – WOW.

  1. I was thinking of purchasing a PSP rather than spending money on a really expensive phone just because of that beautiful Display… I try to promote my videos on the go, but a mobile screen just cant give the effect that a 4.3″ PSP screen ca..and i agree with you about the music, the first version of the PSP had average sound quality, and for the price i think its worth it.
