Enough is Enough…

It was another Wednesday.. 9:00 pm… BREAKING NEWS some terrorists have open fired in The Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels in Mumbai.

This was the news that struck India in the heart 2 weeks ago. Everyone, from all corners of the country were glued to the television sets. It took our commandos 3 full days to encounter the terrorists. About 200 people (government figures which I suspect are lesser than actual) declared dead. Numerous injured. What happened was a nightmare for every Indian.

Seeing the reaction for the past 2 weeks, I think we are finally reacting to terror attacks. At last I feel we are up against it. It a great thing to see many people still protesting, many rallies still held, The attacks still making into the headlines of everday… We are finally talking about it. But is that enough to tackle the problem? Can we do something more than just talk and debate about it.?

WHAT CAN WE DO??

This is one think that every Indian would have thought about, and I bet none would have zeroed in on a solid solution. Neither did I… The first thing I thought of, in rage was to go and Bomb Pakistan and strike off all the terrorists. Increase the coastal security. Give every cop an AK 47… But when I patiently thought over it, I realised none of these would be pratically possible.

Who is to be blamed? Our national security, Pakistan or the so called Muslim terrorists? Are all Muslims terrorists?? These kind of incidents divide the people and there is distrust everywhere. I don’t think this should happen and we should not let people take advantage of our secular nature. For the first time I saw many celebrity Muslims talk about it in a positive way. These attacks, I feel has infused an inferiority complex in the Muslims. Which is not helping the national security!

In the long run, I think this is the only solution we have to fight terrorism. Lets not point out the mistakes of others, may it be the politicians, or Pakistan or the security. Where there is weakness, there is always exploitation… We should be united through these testing times.
